Welcome to our resource hub!
We will be constantly adding to this resource as time goes on with how to and advice articles, historical and environmental nuggets. It will be a constant evolution of more material to add that we have taken over the years. We conduct in-depth research into escaper and evader history to help people view WWII from a different perspective. It is a great priverledge to have a number of videos of relatives who have gathered information on individual and group escape & evasion routes in the Pyrenees.
Lectures & Talks during the Spring and Winter season
We are able to come into your organisation or school and deliver specialised talks and lectures for your team, class or group on WW2 Escapes and resilience or on ground breaking, multi day climbing ascents such as making the first free ascent of Angel Falls, the worlds highest free drop waterfall as a team of 7 spending 12 nights on an overhanging in the Venezuelan jungle. The logistics behind this ascent and mind set needed must have been similar to some of the escapes made.
Video collection from the Andorra Freedom Trail
Neal Dempsey – I should go back there and see how meaningful this was. It has been phenomenal to be here to see it firsthand. This was a really meaningful trip. The risks that they took were extraordinary. It was a special time in my life.
Paul Day – A deep dive into history – the struggles and challenges of escapees and passeurs in WW2 – the task of smuggling people over a huge natural barrier – I would certainly recommend this trek – recent history with powerful consequences combined with hiking
